We (Amy and Susanne) arrived in Fairbanks on our long trek from Phoenix to Barrow. Here we had a chance to familiarize ourselves with some of the local fauna of the high Arctic. Weather here is not too cold, it is sunny and the snow has almost all melted. This will be different at our final destination!
Already an encounter with a polar bear. How exciting! Stay warm in Barrow.
